Rico’s Lechon just opened their biggest branch in Manila located at the 1st Level, Food Village Building B of Tiendesitas, Ortigas East, Barangay Ugong in Pasig.

It has an eye-catching tropical interiors with an infusion of wooden furnishing touches. What attracts me the most was their chopping area with the view of mouthwatering lechon!

As a first timer here in Rico’s Lechon, I was lucky to be among the first to preview their 3rd and biggest branch in the Metro. Of course the first thing that I tried was their best selling Lechon! It was perfect! Its flavor was just right even without the sarsa. It was bursting with aroma and taste from the stuffing and the best part was of course its crispy skin that everybody loves! It surely was the best I’ve ever tasted so far!

If you are a spicy food lover, you must try their famous Spicy Lechon, I’m sure you’ll rave about this once you’ve tasted it!

The Seafood Kare-kare was one of my favorite! The mussles, shrimp, squid with veggies were cooked to perfection and the peanut sauce with bagoong tastes really good.

Their Chopseuy was perfectly cooked with meat and seafoods topped with garlic roast. Though their version doesn’t have boiled quail eggs, I still love it!

To cap off our meal, we delighted on the Oreo Mango Float, a glass filled with cream, mango and crushed oreo. I’m not into sweets but this one really got me!
They also have delectable additions to their menu which is not available in other branches for a time being. A must try Lechon Kare-Kare, Beef Tripe Kare-Kare, Tokwa at Lechon Baboy, Ginataang Laing, or Lechon Lumpiang Shanghai are best with their Sisig Fried Rice or Chorizo Fried Rice. The dessert menu now offers Buchi with Caramel Sauce, Maja Kalabasa, and Leche Flan too!
Sadly I was too full to try their new dishes, but I will surely try it out soon. I wish it will be available in their soon to open branches near my place which is at the Northern side of the Metro. (Ayala Malls Cloverleaf and U.P Town Center)
Over all, I had a wonderful dining experience, from the food to the spacious interior and of course the warm welcome of the accommodating staff. So that’s it! Their slogan says it all. Truly “Da best gyud!”
